Our current podiatrists within the practice are: 

Jamil Karolia BSc: Lead Clinical Director

Podiatrist with nearly 37 years of experience in the NHS and private sector. He graduated from the University of Brighton in 1992 with a BSc Hons in Podiatry and later obtained postgraduate diplomas in Podiatric Medicine and Audit and Clinical Effectiveness. He has worked in London and Sheffield, specialising in musculoskeletal problems of the lower limb. He has also gained expertise in other areas of podiatry, such as diabetes, rheumatology, arthritis, child foot health, and gait abnormalities. He is committed to updating his skills regularly and providing high-quality podiatry care to his patients. He works at Podocare, a premier podiatry clinic that covers South and West Yorkshire. Outside of work, he is a keen sportsman and cyclist who regularly participates in charity events.

Louise Jackson: Lead Specialist Podiatrist

Louise Jackson is a highly experienced podiatrist and musculoskeletal (MSK) specialist with over 20 years of clinical practice, bringing a wealth of expertise to her role at our Wakefield clinic. Holding a Postgraduate Diploma in Podiatric Surgery alongside her BSc in Podiatry and a Master of Public Health, Louise has built her career across prestigious NHS teaching hospitals in London and private practice both in the UK and internationally. This breadth of training and experience has given her deep specialist knowledge in biomechanics, lower-limb musculoskeletal assessment, podopediatrics, sports injuries, and the management of foot complications associated with diabetes and rheumatoid arthritis. Outside the clinic, Louise enjoys skiing, padel, and running an active lifestyle that brings genuine understanding to the importance of healthy, pain-free feet.

Fiona: Foot Health Practitioner

Fiona is a qualified Foot Health Practitioner holding an accredited Level 4 Diploma from the Institute of Training and Occupational Learning. Focusing on essential, preventative care, she provides vital treatments to keep your feet healthy and comfortable. Fiona has completed dedicated training in Diabetic Foot Health Screening, alongside advanced continuous professional development covering skin health, callus and corn removal, fungal nail management, and strict clinical sterilisation. With a strong interest in how the feet move, Fiona also focuses on practical biomechanics. She works directly alongside an established orthotics company to conduct gait analysis, helping patients find relief by measuring and fitting made-to-measure orthotics. Fiona’s practical foot care is backed by over 30 years of experience in community and healthcare roles. As a mental health practitioner, qualified youth worker, and disability coach, she excels at making patients feel comfortable, safe, and truly listened to during both clinic appointments and home care visits.

Aminah Ahmed: Podiatrist

Podiatrist who completed her BSc Hons degree at the University of Huddersfield in 2018 and pursued a postgraduate degree in 2019. She likes to read, bake, and travel in her free time.

Sonia Kausar: Podiatrist

I graduated with a BSc (Hons) in podiatry from the University of Huddersfield in 2025 and am passionate about helping people stay active, independent, and pain-free. I have experience in managing high-risk feet, wound care, routine podiatry, and nail surgery. I enjoy building strong relationships with my patients and providing personalised, evidence-based care. Outside of work, I enjoy painting, ice skating, exploring new adventurous activities, but most of all I love trying out different foods from all over the world.

Farzana: Practice Manager

I have a BA Hons degree in Social Policy and Administration from Leeds University, which I obtained in 1995. I am a mother of four children, who are my joy and pride. I like to cook and host guests, as well as keep fit and healthy. I am also interested in learning about world history.

Esther: Admin Assistant

I hold a BA in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Huddersfield. With a passion for patient care and communication, I am dedicated to helping patients feel informed and comfortable every step of the way.

Outside of work, I enjoy videography and keeping up with the latest trends on TikTok, as well as the occasional deep dive into online shopping.

Ammarah: Podiatry Administrator

I graduated from Bradford University with a BSc Honours degree in Health, Wellbeing and Social Care. I am fond of reading books, baking cakes, and watching comedy shows. I also enjoy shopping and finding good deals.
